Book Review: The Inn at Rose Harbor by Debbie Macomber

Name:  The Inn at Rose Harbor
Publisher:  Ballantine Books
Author:  Debbie Macomber

I loved Debbie's Cedar Cove series and this book will begin another venture in Cedar Cove. I don't think this will be quite as detailed with peoples lives, only those who stay at the bed and breakfast Jo Marie Rose took over.

Jo Marie was recently married and soon after a widow. Her husband died serving his country. Jo Marie feels she must start over, so moves to Cedar Cove and purchases the Inn and renames it after her deceased husband. She is trying to mend her broken heart.

In this book she purchases the Inn from an elderly couple and has her first visitors: A young lady, Abby, and a man, Josh. Both have their own reasons for coming back to Cedar Cove and their own problems in life. As the book unravels both seem to come to terms with their problems and Jo Marie is happy to oblige.

Jo Marie has another stranger, with a different personality, who helps her at one point, but seems to be an impossible soul.  I wonder what will happen between these two as more books come out.

I like how Debbie intertwines the characters from the Cedar Cove series into this book. So...we will read about the other characters in this new series. Great job! Can't wait for the next book to come out.

This book was given to me by Library Thing's Early Reviewers.  I was not required to write a positive review. These opinions about this book are my own.
